Ojai Outdoor Boudoir Photo Shoot {Ventura Boudoir}

Jul 1

It’s a good thing I set a limit of time for my boudoir shoots because I would probably never stop shooting. Its normal for me to shoot over the allotted time and this most certainly happens when I’m shooting boudoir in the great outdoors. This gorgeous knockout came to me with one idea in mind: to photograph her with her Jeep. It was time for her to sale her prized procession and she wanted a good-bye photo shoot.

The shoot was all about her Jeep and she wanted it to be the star of the shoot. Naturally I made her the star but used the Jeep as a killer prop amongst the Ojai Valley. Originally, I had the idea of shooting at the beach, I thought the yellow Jeep would look bad ass against a blue ocean but when I met the model I knew a rustic gritty background would suit her better plus her wardrobe worked well too in this environment.

Some vehicles have a way of making you feel free and adventurous, strong and down right SEXY. The mood and feel of the outdoor boudoir shoot covered just this! Contact me to get more info on outdoor or boudoir studio photo shoots.

Summer Bikini Special {Ventura Santa Barbara Hawaii Boudoir}

Jun 11

Shooting with the natural elements all up in your face is not easy!

Sand, wind, and water may sometimes work against you on a beach photo shoot but it sure is a heck of a lot of fun doing it! Before this first shot was taken, Kerri, the model took a big slap of a wave right smack in her face (while she was down on all four.) We all laughed super hard and had so much fun creating some pretty dramatic jaw dropping beach photos. Kerri, mother of two was super intimated by the idea of wearing a bikini on the beach because she insisted she did “not have a beach body.” We made it work, with her courage and my talent we created some pretty exquisite photos at Sunset. The ad says a one hour shoot but I will generally shoot 15 minutes over to get the pretty sky in the backdrop.

In the future I will be charging $575 for a beach shoot because there is so much involved in getting the right photos. Take advantage of this hot deal or pass it along to a lucky lady friend! Thank you and I hope you have a smoking hot summer of Love!
My indoor studio spring special is still in affect for just a little while longer, check it out here!

Beach Bikini Shoots may be taken from Malibu to Santa Barbara California and/or any of the Hawaii Islands: Oahu, Kona on the Big Island, Kaui, and Maui.

Bakersfield gals come to Ventura for the best boudoir studio.

This lovely mother of three carpooled with her friend, whom I also photographed, from Bakersfield. I had something special in store for each of them. At the time of the shoot we had some pretty funky pop art paintings displayed of James Dean so I photographed the first gal from Bako with James checking her out. It was super hot and a one of kind shot. I then photographed her friend the woman you see here on this post. I was completely inspired by her long hair and found a mid-century 50lb fan and rolled it over on a beaten up turquoise chair. (On the day of the shoot we were adding some new studios to the HUD building so we had a whole mess of props laid out and available for me to use.) I wanted to re-create the old Maxwell commercial from the 80′s and 90′s…for some reason no one remembers them…anyways I scored one of my favorite shots with the fan and chair. It was the first photo that made the cut. Nash Rightmer allowed me to use his art studio for some of my shots. I really LOVE shooting inside his space because it really does make for some interesting photos. They are not your typical pretty boudoir photos but more artsy and sexy photos you can see on Vanity Fair or BaZAAr magazine. I’m a big fan of black on blue so I pulled out my colored backdrop and shot some fun photos on the floor with her wearing her black leather. Her tattoo looks pretty amazing in these shots. Finally we wrapped up the shoot with some bridal gear for her soon to be hubby. What a lucky guy! Contact me to get some pretty awesome photos at the coolest boudoir studio. {If you like any of the mixed media art work please contact me or Nash.}

Curvy Revolution {Ventura Boudoir}

I recently had the opportunity to work with an amazing woman who, at first was very hesitant to schedule a boudoir session. After her shoot was complete and she saw her images, she had this to say.. “Women in all forms should be celebrated! No one should try to live up to what someone else looks like. Every BODY is special.” “Thank you for helping me see how pretty/good I can look”… Pretty or Good is a HUGE understatement. She looks breathtakingly beautiful… she also looks just as gorgeous without an ounce of make-up on.
“I think it was probably the best experience ever!” … “For someone so self-conscious and really basically ashamed of my body.. you really made me feel beautiful and really comfortable.” She continued… “I’m proud of how I look for the 1st time in a long time.” I almost cried when I read this and it made me feel so happy and honored to have helped her recognize how beautiful she really is. It’s interesting how photography can have this impact on women but what I have come to realize is – that its not just the photography itself but the artist/photographer taking the shots. The model has to feel carefree in such a vulnerable and intimate environment. Somehow with my photography and her new-found confidence, we unleashed her inner goddess from the dungeon to claim her rightful existence as a gorgeous woman! Our photo-shoot went really well considering her insecurities and inhibitions about following through with her dream of creating these images. She will now have these beautiful treasures forever to remind her of how amazing and unique she truly is.
