There was a total of 29 people at this wedding and this number includes the bride and groom. Lyndsey and Johnny are from Huntington Beach and they wanted too have a beautiful and intimate wedding that did not cost an arm and a leg. Lyndsey definitely has a creative side because she came up with the idea of having her wedding at a vacation rental vs. having it at a “wedding venue.” She saved thousands of dollars because not only did she rent the property to have her wedding and reception but she also used it as her place to stay the night before and after the wedding. The Babcock Estate has a guest house that provided the bride and groom a private area to stay while their parents and siblings stayed at the main house. Everyone took part in the wedding. Johnny’s mom who is a retired florist really did an incredible job creating a natural and stunning floral design for their wedding. Lyndsey’s mom, sister, and cousin helped out with a lot of the decor: shopping antique stores for silver plated platters. Lyndsey’s mother even went out the day before to purchase a dozen of white pumpkins to add to the Fall Wedding. It was the cherry on top for the design of her wedding decor. The catering was off the hook! Tamara’s catering did a divine job with a southern flavor palette. The secret BBQ sauce was mouth watering. My favorite budget friendly tip was how Lyns came across the wedding cake. She simply googled “best cakes” in the Santa Barbara and Montecito area and of course Jeanine’s bakery came up. Instead of going with a traditional wedding baker she just ordered the best possible cake. The acoustic music and DJ was perfect, performed by a friend. Johnny’s best friend married the couple. Photography did not come last on their vendor list. Lyndsey found an incredible and affordable photographer who captured the event with style.
